UF filter membrane
This membrane has an asymmetrical soft structure with pore size from 0.01 to 0.1 μm, operating under normal pressure from 70 to 200 psi; it allows the filtration of colloids, dissolved solids and small particles such as bacteria, viruses, small molar proteins, carbohydrates, enzymes ....etc
The flow in the water treatment process at UF membrane is highly dependent on the colloidal content by polarization and pore sealing, the colloids are the main cause of reduced flow and the increased transmembrane high pressure.
Water filtration takes place at normal temperature and low pressure, so it consumes less electricity. The size of the system is small, the structure is simple, so it does waste installation space.
Evaluation: The UF water filter membrane is not high efficiency compared to other filters membrane at the same type
Weaknesses: The minerals left in the water may not benefit the body.

Nano filter membrane

Evaluation: The filtering ability and treat water of Nano is much better than that of the UF filter membrane but less than the RO filter membrane. However, Nano-membranes do not waste energy, the process of filtering and treating water without having wastewater. Nano-membrane has the ability to hold sugar molecules, chemotherapy metal salt II, bacteria, proteins, ....etc
Weakness: Nanotechnology not through the raw processing system so that will easily clog the membrane, the remaining minerals in the water may not benefit the body, the cost is high.
Remedies: Check and assess the quality of the input water before filtering with Nano membrane.
RO filter membrane
It appreciated that the filter membrane has the smallest filter eye size in today's filters. Filter eye size of RO membrane is only about 0.001 - 0.0001 micron. it is smaller than the size of Nano-membrane and UF membrane. RO membrane operates under high pressure from 400-1000 psi.
